    Default Vintage gaming

Hey, I'm looking to play a few games I never got to finish as a kid and was wondering where I could get them.
I am looking for : Monkey Island 1, 2, and 3, Loom and maybe those old indiana jones games.
Problem is I have vista and no longer have the software(thrown away loooooong ago). Is there a place to buy old games that work for my newer computer, or is it abandon ware and I can now download it for free?
I have tried roms in the past, but it never works jst right (either its super slow, super fast, no sound, no image ect..[maybe I'm using the wrong roms]).

    What can I do?

You can download emulators and ROMs. Just google it, there are tons of sites.

Honestly, you might want to have a look at Game Tap [ link ]

You may not find exactly what you were looking for, but it's likely it'll end up there eventually. And, you're also likely to find some gems you forgot about. They've also fixed a lot of the problems people have commonly with ROMs, like those you mentioned. Anyhow, back to Planescape: Torment (HURRAY GameTap)

I couldn't find what I was looking for there. i searched all those above and fallout and came up with nothing. The games I am looking for might be too old for that site.

Ahh... what's it called... ScummVM? Google that and see what you find.

If you have all the original CDs and ScummVM you _should_ be set.

I love the Monkey Island series. Day of the Tentacle is also really good. I hope you have fun playing. I remember well my brother and I playing those games together. It was a great way to bond. Ah, good memories. It's good to see another fan of the games on here.

Though it's not as vintage as those games (which I agree were really fun... I had them all running on ScummVM at one point), Grim Fandango was an absolute blast. I really have to find that again.

I've got a copy of grim fandango.. if I can dig it up, I can ship it to you if you want. Let me know.

*edit* If anyone has a copy of "Full Throttle", i'd love to trade for it! I've got quite a few older games that I'd be happy to exchange for it.
