I don't see a problem with that Froop, looks like it will work but hey, I don't know much about these things lol. Na that's kinda like the thing I have to do to my CCFL switches, it will work.

    ya looks good froop. +rep

don't worry about the yellow and blue wires, they are the wires for the sensor to tell you how fast they are spinning.

if you look at your current switch for your pc just follow the wires from the switch to the motherboard and copy it. since the wires don't have any positive or negative it doesn't matter which wire goes where. what ever switch you get just make sure its a momentary style and not toggle or on-off style.

momentary style = it will connect the circuit for a brief period then disconnect it after you let go. think of elevator buttons, keyboard buttons, pop machines, etc.

toggle or on-off style = it will connect the circuit until you flip/press the switch back to the off position which won't work with a pc power switch unless you flip it on and off within a second or two. examples are light switchs, the switch from froops post, power bars that have a power switch, etc.

like i said just make sure if you get a new switch you wire it up to the same spot on the motherboard. check you manual for where to plug it in if you have one. depending on your motherboard it might even say right on the motherboard which are which. here is a example of what it looks like just in case you have no clue.

    this is from the switch.

and it plugs into the motherboard here.

you can also see that the light blue is for the hard drive activity light and that the positive side is on the left (look at the black markings right at the bottom of the post, it's a + symbol)
you can see the reset leads if you look at the "res" or light green area right next to the hard drive light.

    hope that helps!
