I don't think you need resisters for something like that, you just attach it to the existing wire.

AFAIK you can only add 1 led for the hdd lights, and you don't need a resistor its done for you. its all direct replacements. i have changed out the led's to blue on my power led, floppy disk drive(<--link to changing my floppy drive led), and dvd burner. i changed the hdd light to ultra violet as i didn't want it blue as well.
