Ok my buddy has an IBM apteva K6 400mhz 128mbram. We want to put him up with somthing simmilar. I've had unbuntu ultimate for a while now but one of the cd's got all craked up.

What other Distro's are out there and do you think this computer could run some of the old games?

Gentoo would be the best for that. Before even trying the install though, read through the entire thing, and make sure Gentoo is right for him. It might not be.

For a box like that, I would either recommend Puppy Linux or Damn Small Linux.

Personally, I don't think Gentoo would go down too well considering you have to compile everything.
On more modern systems it can take quite a while, and on a relatively slow box like the one you describe it would take a long time.

This is correct. On a slow system it could take several days to compile depending on what you choose to install. BUT, it will be the fastest kernel since ONLY what you need/want will be compiled. Gentoo can quickly turn you off to linux if you do the build from scratch method...
