For a professional cable sleeving mod on ST550EAG:

    Plastics

More plastics, for texturing (I’ll try a new technic, pay attention)

    Updates

I am deciding to paint the original cables of my ST550EAG, its very nice worked out, doesn’t need the full mod, just a paint and molex replacement.

    26.12.2006

Today i started the ST-550EAG MOD, and just realize their coolers are soft to replace, so i decide to replace de 92mm for a 120mm.

It was a hard work today, cutting with dremel and soffering with Dremel Router, but i learned something today and tomorow i'll work better. (i hope)

    Photos

    Breaking news... really !

    Cooler i'll change.

    Easy

    'Gas'

    CM 2007, Here we are

    chip  with Dremel

    Sanding

    Cut done !

Cutting plex-glass with Dremel saw maybe not a good idea (i'll use apropriate bit with router to redo de cut tomorrow)

    Learning...

    Piece of... cant say !

    Trying

    31.12.2006 / 01.01.2007

I decided doing some tests with leds ligthing before going on with the project.

These rivets are for tests purpose only.

    Seems the idea works

I was running up to do some soldering works when the UPS arrived, damn ! For one second i thought the CM WC had arrived, but was another Dremel I've bought to do engraving jobs(this one is diferent of mine because it start at 5000 rpm and goes to 35000, the other one i have goes from 10k rpm to 33k rpm)

Dark photos are not what i can do best...

Some news at the font modding... (still leaning to use the Dremel router, if anyone knows where i can find any kind of tutorial, please, tell me where)

Doing these borders results in a very nice finishing.

I reached out a very nice fit on this piece

Some hand sanding with 360, 600 and 1200 sands, respectivelly, to acomplish the final results...

    Dust, dust2 and dust2007...

    The concept:

Now i'll do a 120mm hole at center of the top and put an nice one cooler with leds on with. (i'm thinking put blue light inside to contrast with red lights an red UV reactives i'll use inside de case.

It's all for now, i'll put more soon...

    Coments are very wellcome...

See you and happy new year for everybody !

    Hi everyone,

I am working on a new font cover, because, i want to put a 120mm fan and the cover i've made do not have left enough space for it. (it's a very small font, i coudn't believe)

    Look at that:

Alson, today i've ordered a CM Dual Storm fan for the VGA memory chipsets that will changed when the CM Aquagate-viva arrives.

I want thanks to all of you for the coments you've made, they're very wellcome and makes me very proud. This also lets me believe i am doing something nice here.

    Thank you !

Today i got an item wich is essencial for this project, and will define some of the next steps and was what i was wainting for. It was delayed about 20 days by brazilian aduana services...

I consider it one of the bigger conquest to my project, because this is the most important reason i am doing the mod, to cool down the system and let it more stable, besides the beautifull look and fantastic performance of Zalman CNPS9700LED.

This cooler is very compact and many says it really works... bought it for a reasonable price but was hard to find it, so, i bought somehow at e-Bay and wait a lot 'till put my hands on it.

    Some pictures:

Now, with theese CM WC in hands, i'll decide where to install it and will next it do some cuts in front panel and other parts of case.

I hope to rear some words of others owners of this WC, most of then, general tooks about it.

I found it absolutely amazing. Very well designed and finished, it is a small piece of art and technology, no doubts about... The only "to do" thing is, maybe, a lapping on block to add some shinny, what you folks think about it?!

Thank you for the coments, see you soon !

Today i removed the foots that will be fixed with screws later and did some cuts behind the case to do a small widows that allow light to pass by.

While cutting, i got these 2 smal tanks models that will be used in some exterior textures details. I am wainting the airbrush arrive here to start painting some exterior parts.

    The tanks:

    Pieces:

Small window for light pass trought...

    Cuted:

Some sanding to revel the cut imperfections.

After a hard sanding, this result:

As i spected the WC is small and will fit in that space left by HDs.

Tomorrow i'll do their cuts and for small ET instalation. Also, i'll start some fiberglass working...

    Thank you for beeing here,

    Pedro Torres.
