Thread: I need some measurements, please.

Default I need some measurements, please.

Howdy. I am going to start a "fully contained briefcase computer" next month when I get my new system. I am going to start a mock-up in the next few days, but I need the length, width and heigth of my new motherboard before I can start. It will be a Pcchips P25g P4 Via P4m800 S.478 800fsb.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Also if anyone knows the measurements to a rather standard power supply size, that would be helpful as well.

    Thank You

This is what the manufacturer website gave: Micro-ATX Form Factor, 244*220mm

here's the link: PC Chips P25G

Tip: Always check the manufacturers website about detailed specs on any product.

Thank you, very much. It's been some time since I have worked with computers.

sounds pretty nice, how are you going to handle cooling, just have a fan gill sticking out the back?

I'm not starting mock-up until tomorrow but I figured I would toss together a quick, horrible looking visualization.

This is the Briefcase. (I haven't processed the inside yet.)

The mobo, psu, and drives are all going to be in the base. These are going to be covered by an aluminum faceplate (currently cardboard).

In the faceplate I will install a compact keyboard, momentary key switch, and four grills for air intake and exhaust.

I am going to attach the top-right grill to a hand made aluminum air vent that will in turn be attached to the fan on the psu. The others will be used to vent air over the cpu and gpu. I'm still working on the details.

My goal is to have a complete computer in the briefcase without making any holes in the outer case.
