nop, I can't believe V, Galaxy Quest and Futurama is in there. Not that they are not good, it's just: not in the top 25

I am a Futurama fanatic, but I don't consider that sci-fi at all.

They explain why star wars isn't in there when they bring up the animated shorts. They didn't care for the prequel trilogy aparently and the originals did not occur in the last 25 years so they didn't make the cut.

Galaxy Quest is awesome! Total parody of Star wars/trek, but with some great humor and originality in it too.

    Did Spaceballs make the cut?

How did Spaceballs and Stargate SG-1 not make the list!! Come on, one of the best Sci-fi parodies and the longest running sci-fi tv show.

AGREED.. Some picks were alright, some not so much. I kinda have a problem with Battlestar Galactica being in there. I watch the show religiously but the Sci-Fi is more of a coincidence, then being the focus.

Wow, I'm surprised Matrix made it to the #1 spot, I don't think Matrix was that great. Sure it may have had a cult following, but in terms of quality and ingenuity, I'd definitely give it to the likes of the original Star Wars, Aliens, or even Blade Runner. However, I was surprised to see Brazil made the list, and I'm glad, its a great movie!

The first Matrix movie was good, but the sequels were crap. The sequels were nothing but, "look at all the special effects we're doing now!" They could have cut out several minutes of those fighting sequences and made one movie out of the two.
