I don't know much about linux but I do use it to run my server. I also have to stand up for a bit about windows security, see more people got windows right so naturally more people are gonna find more loophole's/major security issues with it, if there were more linux users, people would more probloms with it I think there both pretty stable os's but I voted for windows cause im a hardcore gamer and linux to me is just good for server's and not for mainstream user's just like some of you said.

i'm using Linux and have been since about 9th grade (7 years ago for me). i do have a barebones copy of windows 2000 on one of my machines soley for games, although Doom3 and Quake4 play just fine under Linux for me so i never even boot it anymore.

for anyone who really cares about details you can keep reading on, otherwise you may bail out now . anyways, i've used Slackware for a long time (my dad used it back in the day when it was pretty much the only distro out there and it's stuck ever since), however with the move to 64bit processing coming up very shortly for me, i'm going to switch over to Slamd64 which is an unofficial 64bit port of Slackware.

so to put it short, i voted for Linux
