Or you could take the graphics down one notch and not be killed at all.

But It usually doesn't come down to an FPS for being killed or not, and if you are expecting to be playing competitively online you are probably going to take the graphics down a few notches anyway because you can't be hindered by the possibility that your system will hang for that .003 of a second.

I'd like to see benchmarks of the best case scenario, crossfirex and sli of two 3870x2's and a pair of ultras.

Actually the game runs fine when there is only a few people on the screen (this is on medium, and I won't take it to low because that affects the gameplay) but when there is a massive gunfight with around 7-12 people, grenades going off and bullets flying everywhere... there is a small slow down sometimes.
