I am after a good but reasonably priced keyboard and mouse set that I can use for doing work and a bit of gaming now and again. I am buying it later today after I sleep as it is like 1am here and all.

I ended u getting the logitech cordless desktop MX3000 laser from Electronic Botique. As it was the most comfortable mouse I could find and the price was right at $69.95.

Logitech Cordless Desktop Comfort Laser
I use this on my HTPC and it works about 20 ft from my machine. Great reach, good design, the media buttons work with every media player I have except VLC.
I consider this the Cadillac of wireless keyboards.
The software allows full customization on both the mouse and keyboard, warns you when your batteries are dying, and is very easy to setup.
I would highly recommend the Logitech S10 keyboard, but the mouse I have never used. I use the Logitech G7 mouse, which I also recommend highly, the swappable battery is really handy.
