I think they are '05 hayes nines. I basically took everything off the norco and put it on the evo then sold the frame and the 888 fork is currently on ebay.

*Insert Obligatory "Bicycle Races" By Queen*

I have a mountain bike, don't use it to much.

Might get a light one to go to college on, but do I wanna ride a bike in frickin florida?

Ok, so I love the cruiser. No duh right?

Couple things though.. I already miss having music. I *could* just wear my ipod.. but thats not safe. So I started looking into some mountable options.

The verdict? NOTHING BUT CRAP is available. Therefore, build my own. I'm sketching out the first draft of this project now, and hopefully can get the plexi (oooohh.. sexy) cut tonight or tomorrow, and start bending it up to mount the ipod and the speakers to the handlebars.

Next up, lights. With only reflectors on the pedals, the bike is a bit sketchy for evening/night riding. I already considered going with a prebuilt light kit, but man, where's the fun in that? Besides, I have so many LED's already, might as well make something myself! Yay!

    Pics will follow.. I promise!

Quick update on this.. added a pair of old speakers ripped from a scrap laptop, and running off my Axim PDA. Sounds good enough for now.. we'll see how it holds up on the ride home. Pics to follow when I get home.

dual brightness red LED's for brakes.

Projector-mounted LED array for the headlights.

rechargeable battery & low power (but decent volume) speakers for it, too.

I'm going to look into getting another bike. A road bike. I ride a mountain bike (The Rincon) but it's heavy and it's not an easy ride first thing in the morning.

I also need to look into a new crank system. I have the TruVativ Blaze on the Rincon right now, but the left crank arm keeps coming loose.

...Any of you know of any competition downhill bike companies? I might look into getting one of those for my off road shenanigans.

oh god, that '07 Chumba Evo is exactly the kind of bike I'm looking for. Mine is nice but I do harder riding than it's made for, and I know a freeride will take everything I can throw at it. I already jump it, ride it up/down stairs at the uni, etc. Hell, anything with rear suspension would be a plus.
