I'm using a computer without magnetic shield and it's fine. You don't really need to worry. And if the WLAN card is in a PCI slot. Magnetic shielding could give you problems, not prevent them.

I have never even heard of magnetic shielding for PC's. As far as I know there is no need to worry about it. There are all sorts of other things such as radio stations and TV broadcasts that are being sent through the air at all times, as well as other 802.11 networks that never effect computers.

One of the best EMI filters is Copper mesh. That is what the CIA uses to prevent electronic evesdropping.
