    Default First mod planned

It's not really much of a mod, but i was thinking of stuffing a computer into an aluminum attache case. I saw something somewhere about that, and thought it would look really cool, and almost be a laptop (but really heavy and no battery )

No dvd drive or anything, I never use those.
Best case, i could have some excess room in the attache case for the powercord/mouse

    Possible specs:
    amd processor,
    ASUS M2R32-MVP
    2x Radeon HD 3870

was looking to use one of these, probably an 8 inch deep one, and was planning on just putting a normal case inside, a monitor in the top, and cutting some holes for vents/ports.
but, i can't find a good case for this.
    any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Check here under household:
    http://www.neatorama.com/case-mod/#household

The page takes a min. to load wait an it'll take you to the household mod section. Look for suitcase or briefcase.

You can pick up ones like this from walmart sometimes, in the hardware section, also lowes or homedepot:

Thanks, that's pretty much my idea. hoping to get it a little cleaner looking though

i found a micro atx motherboard tray, looks like it should work in place of a full case
    just working out the details.
    i'll post some pics if/when i finish

Fans taking in air in the bottom/right, blowing at the top/left.

Does that look feasible? Lexan or similar on top, to the right, and below the mobo for protection, with foam around that for style/still more protection.

Make the back and left blow and the right and bottom exhaust.
It'll promote air flow. But looks ok to me.

For reasons of thickness, i decided to get a PCIe Riser card to mount the graphics card at a ninty degree angle.
and for reasons of being broke, i'm using the components i already have, so i modified the .max to reflect that. the problem is, the graphics card is a dual slot, which poses problems for the riser card, so i have to get a ribbon cable riser. edit:due to TINY psu, i can use the cheaper non cable version
    new pics, same links.

    edit: LOADS of skinny bits.
