Sorry, I probably shouldn't have bothered replying, as spam posts are often deleted, and that can lead to some confusion later on. At this point, my post is spam. Spammers on forums really get me pissed off, because it ruins them. The GBXemu forum used to be great, until it got targeted by spammers. At this point, at least every other topic is advertising pr0n, drugs, etc. so I just gave up on it. I do like the work, by the way.

We have some really fast acting spam police on this forum. They're on at least daily, and wield insta-ban highly effectively. A report and the spam will be gone in less then 12 hours, at most I would say.

I report spams as soon as I spot them, plus neg rep the fool, plus msg him with hate. I'm mean.

We have several spam guards in place which weed out well over 95% of the spambots. But there are always a few who slip past. The good news is that our moderators are the Spartans of spam-slappage. Each morning, Airbozo does 100 one-finger pushups using his spam-smack clicking finger just to get in shape for the whoopins. Most spam posts are eliminated within an hour of being posted by our delta-force spam-assassins.

Larger forums that have no guards in place for spam usually get filled up pretty quickly, and that's never any fun.

BTW, a while ago there was a spammer,but he did it subliminally so he never got banned. In all the posts he said "I dont understand, email me at blablabla@blah.com and explain. I searched his username on google and found hundreds of forums with the same post (but those forums banned him)
