Well, it is in Australia and $4,000 AUD = about $3000 USD, so yeah, it is probably worth that much at full retail prices.

i am totally confused
depends on the buyer. With Alienware, you are buying a quiality computer at a premium price, because you pay extra (at least 20% above building it yourself) for the name brand. Plus it is built to custom spec, and they have high quality customer support.
But hells no I ain't payin that kind of scratch!
