Went up to my grandmother's cottage. There were thousands of dollars spent on fireworks tonight. It was nice, but I'd never buy one of those $1,000 packs.

    $1000? That's like, a lot.

Weren't there any shows around there, you know, like free ones where they have real fireworks?

But that must have been pretty awesome, lighting fireworks all night long, pretty much.

I went to the local show, to hear the big booms and see the big balls of light thrown into the sky by the city of loveland.
    You love my sig.

For the first time in my life, I did not fire off anything and was happy that I didn't see/hear any of my neighbors fire off so much as a sparkler.

I enjoyed the fireworks from the top of our local rock perch put on by the cities around us.

Quakken; you mean Loveland, CO? I used to go to the same show years ago...

    Yeah, Loveland CO. I'm native.

It was pretty good, I sat on the lawn near my church. Some of the fireworks were smiley faces!

Then I went home and spent 5 hours watching television. Best. Fourth. Ever.

    nice!

    Born and raised in Lakewood/Golden.

They used to put on a show at Red Rocks but after a fire there they stopped. We used to go up there on the fourth and watch the various shows. That or Lookout mountain. Incredible shows!

    Happy Belated Independence Day!!!

Although July 4th is a date celebrated by Americans commemorating the act of defiance by the British Colonies against their king, the spirit and relevance of liberty and justice is one of grave importance to ALL HUMAN BEINGS!
    Let us never forget that the sacrifices made by all of our forefathers are completely squandered on a lineage of complacent, passive individuals whom are content accepting the religious, political, or otherwise persuasive ideological concepts or definitions of morality and reality. We must always remember that even though battles for liberty and independence can be won, lost, or otherwise concluded, the struggle for freedom and human rights is never finished. It is our responsibility as free-thinking men and women to NEVER lay down our arms against the forces of oppression. Let us never surrender our will to the kings, administrations, tyrants, dictators, landlords, priests, generals, slaveholders, corporations, teachers, or any other entity that would have us exchange our freedom to decide with our blind obedience and consent. It has been taught repeatedly by the great minds throughout our history that;

-it is almost always necessary to be willing to die for justice, almost never necessary to be willing to kill

    -complacency=surrender=slavery

-in order to be strong enough to demand liberty, you must always be willing to fight for others who lack the strength to fight for themselves

-and lastly, in the end, if you feel that the majority is wrong, and that you are right, you probably are correct.

    God Bless!

My neighbors are friggin' idiots - didn't just fire 'em off last night, but they're still going at it (9:35 PM here). Come on, guys, set 'em all off when you're supposed to...

Went to a town Declaration reading (a few dozen citizens go up and read a paragraph or so apiece) and had a cookout. Everything except the fireworks here.

Lol! Sorry for the rant, I've been drinking coffee and reading all day and the grocery list of imminent threats to the America's credibility and possible survival have been scrolling through my mind and pissing me off! Things that I am surprised to find have failed to draw more of a moral outrage than they have...but I think I will refrain from listing them here to avoid stirring up the natives.
