    Default wierd system shutdowns

    this has happened twice niw. i was doing my home work on word when my computer shut down. when i turn it back on it says overclocking failed?!?!?!
    i was running word as my only program. i have never overclocked this comp.
    does any one know wht this might have happened??? thanx

    In the bios it is possible to choose something like 'fail safe settings' or 'performance settings'. These performance settings can 'overclock' something in the computer - perhaps even just the memory to run at a faster clock speed.

    Try going into the bios and loading the fail safe settings.
