the hot-swap drive bays do seem cool, but how practicle? how often are you gonna swap drives with the rig running?

BUT... if this is your flagship... then you should pull out all the stops. make it as hoopty as you can. no reason not to. your customers can always buy something less pimped.

can't go wrong with Lian Li. best cases out there, IMO.

Thanks for your input guys. I am still undecided between the two.

I will also be giving the option of water cooling the PC for the customers and looking at the general sizes and layout of the cases I think the V1010 would make a neater loop (res and pump wise).

I do really like the V1000z, it is slightly smaller but to me the fully perforated front fascia is it's downfall in my opinion. I will need to find a review on the V1000z before I make a final decision.

By the time I start this mod there will probably be something new anyway lol.

I do like the Armorsuits but they are excessively expensive and to me they don't seem Lian Li if you know what I mean. They are different and way out there and don't really appeal to the majority of the consumers.

It is a worthy candidate but to me lacks the elegance and simplicity of the more traditional Lian Li cases.

Yes I like the window on the V1000z but in reality some clients may not want a window. Perhaps I will use both cases but I am still edging towards the V1010.

The completely perforated front is a little much IMO, but overall I think I like the V1000Z better. Are you trying to setup something like what AB has done, building high end servers/workstations for rich clients? From some of the posts/logs he's done, it looks like people do (whether they be businessmen or not) like the windows if cable management is done right. The V1000Z gives you a little more to work with, and you could make some really cool hard drive enclosures with plexi or sheet aluminum for the hot-swap drives.
