Like I said, I made a mistake with the strips that come on top of the mod. I made them too short!

I thought of something that would not only deal with that mistake, but also give it a bit extra.
First I made some small pieces of circuitboard, that will act as supports.

Then I made these small strips from UV green plexi.

These will come here on top of the supports.

With a little glue and a clamp, set to dry.

When the lights hit the strips, they light up like a xmass tree.

And here two overview shots, now you see the size of the mod entirely.

LOL, relax Dont-Fear, next case will be a biggie again. I even have a plan here for a full-size bigtower project. You know one of the ancient massive ones. Gonna be fun !

Once again I'm blown away. Absolutely LOVE it! +rep on the ingenuity and recycling. Can't wait to see it done.

    thanx mate, much appriciated.

Time to give the little beast some legs. These I make from old 2.5" harddrives. These are the discs that sit on top.

    Cut in half.

Then glued to the mod with constructiekit. ( a little bit too much here )

Three times on the left and three times on the right.

The legs are made from the actual read-write heads from those laptop-drives.

Once the kit is hardened, it should be looking a bit like this.
