Seriously, though, I was considering buying the case TGS started us off with... to mod.

I had the same thought. I was like, "I like a challenge..." Then I saw some of the other cases on here, and changed that thought to: "Challenges suck. Throw those cases out."

The Vento would be cool if someone modded a case to look like that, or similar, but premods are blah.

Well, personally, a lot of these cases (except for a few) are dirt cheap and could be stripped out if you need a motherboard tray with pci slots in another computer mod....

Asus Vento. Doesn't leave much room for anything with all the cheap shiny plastic.
I think the only thing that would be worth modding is the crappy plastic latch on the front.
I would be surprised if it lasted a month without breaking.

Don't tell that to the chick here that was doing a mod to a Vento. MDS or whatever her name was? Project: Lamborghini was the mod. I don't think she ever finished it but the work done to it before she disappeared was still awesome.
