Yeah. The only thing I don't like about vista is its horrible networking. Other than that it is a great operating system. Apple is kinda iffy on their marketing now. (.maleficus, number 4 was worded beautifully ;P)

I think that Vista is a true failure not only because its lack of everything good but because Microsoft hasn't fixed it yet. I am hesitant to try Windows 7 due to this.

There's really nothing for microshaft to fix, though.

I got my uncle's new Vista machine online today. Despite the unfamiliar and sometimes counterintuitive options and wizards, this wasn't all that difficult once I figured out the real problem - by resetting the cable modem. Windows then decided all was well.

Of course, I then had to tell Internet Explorer no less than three times that it was no longer supposed to be in offline mode, so some of their software still needs a bit of work.

Wireless. It keeps going out on my friend, and the "network manager" doesn't really help in vista. Not as many advanced features as XP

What advanced features as XP? I find it about the same for both.

There may be some interference, or just not a good card. Microwaves and Wiis interfere a lot with the signal. Other networks using the same channel can too.
