Major update. Damn its more tiring than office work.

    HDD Rack

Just filed them today. No sandpaper yet, prolly gonna go get some tomorrow. I need to re-cut another one as the drill got "over excited" on one hole thats meant for the jig.

I'll need to cut that replacement piece and then starts drilling before working on the top panel (cutting hole for the cables)

    Wing

This will go on the right panel. I needed a spine to mold it on as its really fragile to try something that long and with spokes solely on paper. Thats the only steel hanger I got, the rest are plastic lol

Right now I'm going onto the first spoke so probably need a couple of days on it.

    Left Panel Grill

Too stubborn to use the jig. Dremel took me about 3 days to finish it and it looked like crap. Thankfully, its gonna be covered with paper. Unfiled pix.

Filed, and cut out the UV green plexi to go at the back of it, same size as the grill.

The screws that will hold all pieces together will be placed into the holes prior to being paper-covered, I don't want those ugly things to show. This will be on the bottom of the left panel. Yet to cut into the panel itself.

    Front Panel Grill

This, pulled the jig and finished in under 1.5 hours. First, unfiled & horrible. 2nd pic is where it'll be.

Filed and with a matching size plexi to be attached to it.

I'll have to cut into the front panel to embed the grill into it and then paper em.

    Fan Feet

This time instead of attaching a grill to the chasis on the front and mounting the fan on it, I'll pull the fan further back so I need something to hold to the ROM cage and the fan itself. Took 2 of these plastic L holder. Filed the center thing that and snip off/filed 1/4 of it.

Time to test the height. The floor of the ROM cage will have a layer of plexi so I'll need to make sure the fan stays even.

    Perfect.

    Screws!!!

Had a headache running around to find something that will look good to hold the HDD rack together. Was going through my box of screws and pulled these out.

Then I squeeze them together into the tube, and made 2 for trial to see how well they hold.

Perfect. Won't come off by shaking nor tugging and pulling. So went to the hardware shop and grabbed 30 of the screws since I was down to my last 2 while experimenting.

Then comes the problem, the hexagonal screw aren't of equal length for the legs. Solution.. went to my friend's pc shop and raided his giant box of screws. These chrome ones are all of equal length, and grabbed 60 of them for free

So far, I've stuck in a dozen of them but I'll need about 24 for the HDD rack itself. For the ROM probably 12 to 18. This is how they look now.

Thats all for now. Been wrecking myself these few days. Still engrossed in observing the screws. They look... complicated

Thanks mate. No modding for me today, its Saturday lol. Went and grab some i-dont-know-what-its-called glue that seems to be very bad ass cheap stuff and 1L of paint stripper. Btard sprinkled all over my thigh when I pulled the tab off and that crap sting worse than silicone glue + dettol.

Coming along nicely. The HDD rack will look great when you're done.
