    Default How is onboard wireless?

If I decide to go without a nic and instead only use onboard wireless, would this be okay?
What I'm mainly asking is, is onboard wireless good to actually use?
I know onboard graphics are by no means a replacement for a video card so is it the same.

It is usually ok. I've used laptop onboard wireless before, and that was ok. No experience with desktops, though. If you don't need an antenna, that's a plus. I've lost three antennas somehow.

I think the way the NZXT Tempest is built, having an antenna coming out of an expansion slot won't work.

You could always solder it onto the card, if you need to. I soldered a short length of wire onto mine, so I can hook up my homemade antenna easily (spool of wire). The onboard will probably do you fine.

Honestly, I would just get a cheap wifi adaptor (usb or pci). Then you can get any mobo you want plus probably save a few bucks on the mobo.

I wouldn't get the motherboard just for onboard wireless, but, if the one that I was getting came with it, I would use it.
