    Question Installing...

    Hello all, i am very new to modding but have a big interest in it.

    For my new pc i will be installing everything my self (of coarse)

    Now, the problems i am having is with the led lights, multiple fans and neon sticks.

    What i don't know is how you connect multiple fans, multiple led lights and neon to the power supply.

    Here is what i am going to be installing...

    ~~::Laser Lights::~~
    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...aserbeam_green

    ~~::Neon::~~
    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...SUliq_rgb_spir
    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...SUliq_red_spir

    ~~::Case Feet::~~
    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...SUcasefeet_red

    ~~::Fans x 5::~~
    http://gamedude.com.au/prod_show.php?art_no=coBR8blue

    All installing in this case:
    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...iper_black_red
    (this is not the prob. the prob is the installation itself.)

    Here is the power supply i will be using:
    http://gamedude.com.au/prod_show.php...=psXGvortec600

    Now, how would i go about installing those 5 fans and all those lights and neon to that power supply (keeping in mine the motherboard, hdd, dvd/r and dvd/rw are also sharing the power cables from the power supply.

    Do i need to buy something else to connect them all to the power supply outlet plugs? Or is there a bit of hard wiring required?

    Also: i want to be able to turn the LED (foot lights, laser lights) and neon off and on with a switch (to save power when not using them)

    If you could help me with these with either a tutorial or verbal it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Viper-Inc

    it looks like all of those products you want to install have a standard 4 pin connector. you should be able to simply plug then all in together into a molex connector from the power supply. it seems like you'll have a lot of cables running around the case with all that stuff lol :p so would be good to get some cable tie downs or something to manage then all
    where are you?

    fact: different = abnormal
    observation: everyone is different, therefore everyone is abnormal
    conclusion: there is no normal, express yourself

    ok. but how will i connect them all to the 1 molex connector? is there another adapter plug i need? or what.

    Sorry for the n00b questions but i have never worked with lights before (usually when i learn something once or get taught it i remember it, so this is technically my first time dealing with lights)

    NEON lights dont last that long .. if you can get the XG Red CCFL (Dual sticks) would last longer.

    1st light I placed into a machine was a NEON and it only lasted a month.

    the Neon or CCFL if you go that way. Try to leave on it own rail (lines out of the PSU). Fans If you need them all on the same rail then try and get it on the same one as the CCFL other wise spreading those around should be just like adding a normal fan.

    As for the feet. Make sure your case had the same type of feet or they wont work. Also when taking the small screws out be carefull as they as the heads are not that strong and strip easy. I had to modify a couple of the screw heads to make them work. They Plug in just like anything else so thats not a issue.

    One thing you may want to consider when doing this is adding a false floor to your case, to hide your wires by running them underneath. Otherwise you're going to have a rat's nest of cables running everywhere.

    Answer to your question.

    http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...o=neonSUred300

    those are ones I am guessing .. as it has CCFL

    Other might as it looks like they are mixing CCFL and Neon as the same thing

    Ok, Thanks for the neon tips, greatly appreciated. I might thing of adding something in the case to hide most of the cables,

    The power cables to the hardware (dvd/r, dvd/rw, hdd, etc) they can stay as they are only small, but i will try see what i can do with the ribbon cables.

    Also, what do i need to get to be able to have the neon and LED lights set up on a switch. so i can turn them off at a switch when i want to save them.

    I'll have to look around the net for a tutorial or guide or something for installing the led and lights, but for the meantime, what do i need to be able to have a switch?

    All help so far and in future is appreciated guys,
    Thanks,
    Viper-Inc

    If you look at the specs on the lighting that you've got on your shopping list you'll see that they come with a switch already mounted on a back plate. These fit in an empty expansion slot. Just take the cover off and screw the plate in and there's your switch... you won't need anything else..

    ok, thanks for that... Now connecting everything to the 1 switch for easy and lazy man's access. lol.

    Is it just a matter of taking all the wires for everything and twisting/joining them together? or is it a bit more complex than that, and is there anywhere that shows how to do it.
