    define cheap? US$400?
    where are you?

    fact: different = abnormal
observation: everyone is different, therefore everyone is abnormal
conclusion: there is no normal, express yourself

Pawn shops are also a good way to find a starter setup. I found a 2.4ghz comp with half a gig of ram and a decent vid card at my local pawn shop the other day for $280. Toss in a few more bones on upgrades and you've got a moderate gaming rig.

This seems to be decent priced.. If you get one of the Dell Towers on the cheap you could add a Vidcard and game.. I know its not optimum.. but better then nothing..

EDIT:The Dell Desktop cases have AGP slots BUT they only accomdate low profile cards.. The Tower cases will accomodate a full sized AGP card.. Here is a decent example.. http://www.hcditrading.com/Shop/Cont..._by/sell_price
add like a $40 FX5200 and your under 400 bucks. Like I said not optimal but better then nothing..

Ibuypower.com ften has good gaming computers for dirt cheap, if you want to find one and not build it. You're probably looking at closer to $500 to $600 for their baseline gaming rigs, but they're pretty solid, from what I've seen.
