All of my XP systems have the following defensive software:
Sygate firewall
Avira Anti-Virus

My Vista systems have everything above minus the firewall.
What do you have?

I'd like to add SpywareBlaster to the list - works like a charm, and it's free. Doesn't even let the spyware in in the first place!
My company just started using an AV service called Panda PMOP, or Panda Managed Office Protection, and I graciously volunteered all my systems for general testing purposes. Before that I used McAfee Enterprise 8.7 on my home systems because it is provided by my college.
Other than that, I use SpyBot S&D and CCleaner to take care of everything else.
I would really like my Thermaltake prizes...Thanks everyone for my wonderful prizes!
Same here, absolutely nothing other than whats built into Windows XP. I've been that way for a good couple years now, still haven't ran into any problem I couldn't fix myself.
The best anti-anything route = Thumb Drive + Restore Discs/partition.
AVG, Avast!, Norton, etc. have never really worked for me, not perfectly anyways. It just solves the problem for awhile and then the problem is back again. But the above method is guaranteed to work every time, and its good for your 'puter too. Keeps it nice and fresh, clean and running smoothly. I usually reinstall windows or restore it to factory settings every year or two.
oh, although I do occasionally use Trend Micro HouseCall.

People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.
myself,
AVG for linux
and 3 hardware firewalls,
and the network/internet traffic is watched and can disconnect a pc from the network if it thinks its compromised.
I'm not using any, i'm pretty confident and aware of what I do online.
Of course confidence doesn't protect you from mr hackerwithnolifeincanadalivinginhismomsbasement guy, but he doesn't know you. So i think you're good!

I use AVG 8 and scan every now and then with AdAware. I did use Spybot Search and Destroy but it didn't like my PC for some reason, worked fine on my brothers but not mine.
