    Default led bulbs?

anyone use these babies before? do they work comparably to regular light bulbs? Just curious, 2 watts of power vs. 60 watts is a big difference!

Never used them, but it's an LED bulb. That is instant WIN in and of itself.

Dont LED's have more of a straight line of light while bulbs spread out?
[Kayin] 7:38 pm: Actually, during a hostile takeover, Satan's left nut and all his crabs beat Satan at the board meeting (he didn't know that his crabs held stock)
and so we're owned by a conglomerate of pubic lice and the left testicle of the Prince of the Powers of the Air.

I think that depends on the LED. Different LEDs have different viewing angles.

When I was in college one of the conference rooms we had a lab in had LED lighting. If it is placed in the correct diffuser I could not tell a difference between it and florescent lighting. I bet if you had those in your whole house it would drop your electricity bill a good bit.

We have a few LED bulbs at work not the exact style like the one you linked to but it works just as good as an incandescent IMO. Only thing you need to adjust to is it's more of a white light not like a yellow that most lights give off but otherwise it's great.

I actually like the white better than the yellow.

might have to get me a few of these puppies for outdoor lights... as I hate getting a ladder to replace bulbs. I have those fluorescent bulbs in them now, but they aren't very bright imo. and yeah, I like the white light better! the yellow is nice for softer light, like when you are watching a movie or something, but white is better for everything else. like walking without falling down.

oh there great. best feature is you can strobe the lightbulbs in the house with the switch (like teachers used to do) and it won't burn it out. There nice and bright but you get the Tracer effect Hard if you look around fast. I still use incadecent. I'm sorry but i switched to CCFL back in the day and noticed a 22Kwh difference. booooo so i switched back to filiment. But we've got these at work and i've had one at home.

They are Extremely expensive. But if you've got a area what is under alot of vibration. like light bulbs in the Garage door opener. or above a basketball goal these are the ones for you.

some of the diodes will fail after awhile but the rest keep going.
