    Default "Tree Man" updates

He's not looking half bad these days!

People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

    Wow!

Dede is looking SO MUCH BETTTER!

After all those years of mental and physical torment it must have played on him. It is really good to see!

When I watched the documentry on him a few months ago he was SO SO depressed (as you would). So yeah it's good that his standard of living has improved so much!

I just wonder how many more painful operations he has to go for before he says enough and gives up the fight because it sounds like it's something that will just grow back.

Sure we would all love "real friends", but honestly whats the chances of that happening?

According to the show, the warts will probably continue to grow back, and the bones in his hands are either very weak or nonexistent due to osteoporosis. I don't know if anything has changed since that recent show, but I think it will take some other form of treatment to truly make him better.

Oh, man. That's just painful to look at. I think I'd be looking at prosthetic hands if I were in his situation... 's gotta suck.

Gee, it damn sure took me long enough to find and add the origin of the first quote...

Whoa! He has a face! There's got to be some kind of genetic fix for this. Maybe cord blood?

TGS, supposedly he has a very unique/weak immune system, and this is an incredibly rare manifestation of the Human Papoloma(sp?) Virus. If he isn't treated and a biotic or chemical cure isn't found, all of the warts will continue to grow back. One of the proposed treatment is enhanced synthetic vitamin A and C, but the Malaysian government keeps intervening and paying for the warts to be physically removed.
