Windows doesnt read all 4gb's though. I heard that if you turn off your pagefile that windows will see the rest of your ram. I tried it and it still didnt recognize the extra ram. A 64bit os seems to be the only way to take advantage of the extra ram.

    I just scored a 9902 in 3dmark o6

    Specs:
    AMD 4800X2 939 @ 2.7ghz (socket 939)
    8800gt at 700 core/ 1700 shader/ 2000 memory
    2 gigs ram at 2.5 3 3 6 @ 410mhz

I would most likely get a much higher score with a c2d but I think that is pretty good for my processor. Hell, i beat out almost all of the 4800x2 that are registered in 3dmark

Ok, I decided to finally test my rig with this aquamark program. My goal was 100k.

Here's my 1st run on stock clocks:

2nd run, I overclocked the graphics card. Stock is 650/800.

3rd run, I overclocked the CPU from 2.00 to 2.41 and the rm from 667 to 804.

    Now another run:

4th run, I overclocked the graphics card a little more.

    And another test:

5th and Final test, this is right after a restart:

So I didn't hit 100k, but I think that's pretty good for some budget hardware. Specs:

    Antec 900
    MI K9A Platinum
    Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.41 Ghz
    2GB Kingston ValueRam (667 running @ 804; 5-5-5-15)
    XFX GeForce 7600 GT XXX (650/800 running @ 730/900)
    82GB Maxtor IDE HDD
    Dynex 400W PSU

i was wondering how the 8600GT compares to a 7600GT. some people where saying it was better, though it might have been the 7900GT vs a 8600GT. how much was all that? so far i have spent 1600 (includes g15, mx rev mouse, case, lights, heatsinks, etc.) but mine is going to be a high end so right now its a hybrid?

    Antec 900 $95
    MI K9A Platinum $130
    Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.41 Ghz $122
    2GB Kingston ValueRam (667 running @ 804; 5-5-5-15) $100

    Dynex 400W PSU $70
    OCZ heatsink $30
Sata DVD burner w. lightscribe $34
    20" Viewsonic widescreen $270
    Microsoft Wireless 6000 Desktop $100

    Total: In all, $1,081

Of course those are the prices I paid. All of that stuff is cheaper now except for the screen and the 900.

Also, the 7600GT, its smooth as glass playing Halo on 1280*960 on stock clock settings.
