    Default Aquamark/3DMark Scores

If this has already been done, i apologize. Truth is, i just wanted to share my happy overclocking scores tonight. My GPU never overclocked before, but.. seems with my new drivers, is putting a smile on my face.

i just reinstalled vista 64bit again, with 3dmarkvantage shortly to follow.

NOTE: i know these benchmark arent accurate to real life performance, and honestly, i dont put much faith in them. I was just amazed with my score increase just by overclocking what i had. so, in a way, this is a "post your overclock/screenshot of vantage score" thread.

post original clock and score, and then overclocked clocks, and screenshot of score.

my original score with stock speeds was 7351.

    Core2Duo E8400 @ 3.00ghz, 9 x 333 1.3125 Volts (32 Idle, 54 Load)
    8800 gts 512 (g92) 670/972 43C idle, 59 Load 45% fan
    4 gb PC8500 @ 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 1.9V

    overclocked setup
    Core2Duo E8400 @ 4.14ghz 9 x 460 1.3625 Volts (36 idle, 59 Load)
    8800 gts 512 (g92) 756/1055 45C idle, 62 Load 55% fan
    4 gb PC8500 @ 1104mhz 5-5-5-15 2.26V

It lets the GPU handle some of the physics processing. The newer nvidia drivers for 8000 series and newer allow for physx. Turning it off will bring your score down a nice amount.

i dont see how that makes a score invalid. isnt that the point. having driver updates gettin better performance?

since vantage only works directx10, you can only use 8 or 9 series cards no? so, anyone can get the higher score with newer drivers. so, i dont have an "edge" on anyone.

but.. either way, it doesnt matter. the point of my post was to show how much of a difference just some overclocks made, and tryin to get other to post the same idea. stock vs overclock.

yes they do... with 3dmark 06 stock i get 13k with overclocks its at 17k.

and i think with my old 8600GT's in sli i went from stock 7-8k to 13k with overclocking, voltmods on my video cards and some -10C winter air
