    Default Cathode question

I have 6 Cathode tubes in my case and they are in groups of 2, and these 3 groups of 2 each have their own switchand power converter thingy. The problem I have is when I turn off any of the lights it freezes my comp. I have reinstaled windows gotten a new powersuply, but that still hasent stoped the freezing.
Any ideas why this is happening?

This is my first post but have ben admiring all the mod for months.

My first question is why so many tubes? The max I've seen in a case is 2.
There could be a couple of reasons that your computer is freezing.
    1. You PSU get's a sudden 'avalibility' of power
    2. You have too much usage and you need a PSU with a higher wattage.

Also, pic of said case would help.

Ok...... use a PSU calculator to estimate your power requirements. What PSU do you have in that?

I've seen this happen with inexpensive lighting. I think the problem is, as Crenn said, a voltage spike.

Where did I say it might be a voltage spike?

As I don't do case modding myself (yet) I can't say much about inexpensive lighting cause problems.

But I do know some PSUs need more than a certain load for the PSU to work correctly.... it's rarely happens..... but it does happen...
