Hdd light always blinking

Hello all i have noticed that my my hdd light flashes every seocnd or so just a quick flash not like a hard working flash but its is enough to make when i listein to mp3 kinda skip when it does it. The hard drive is pretty new i just reformatted a couple weeks ago . http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136010
That is the hard drive i googled it and it made some sugesstion about turning off indexing and a couple of other things that didnt work also i have sata dvd burner .
I am running a virus scanner nod32 but it didnt this before any idea alot on the google search i rea said its not a problem but i just seems weird .
I thought it might be like spyware or a virus i have ran my spyware and virus scanners and it turned up nothing any ideas appreciated .

the hard drive activity light that flashes when the hard drive is active .

That's, uh, perfectly normal. The OS has to access the HDD pretty often-- looking at my box, the light blinks pseudorandomly about once a second. The MP3 skipping is another issue entirely. Usually it preloads a working file into RAM, so it's kinda weird that drive acess would make it skip. What media player are you using?

Turning off the paging file (if you have enough RAM) can help that a little, but you're going to have lots of reads/writes no matter what.

i tried it on i I tunes i will try it on windows media player and let you know Iim going too try to and figure out how to turn pagefiling off thanks all sorry it didnt reply sooner to my own question but i had a death in the family .

Thanks man i really appreciate it i think my mother almost had a nervous breakdown but she seems to be doing a lot better now .
Could someone tell me how to turnoff pagefileing i looked on the google and i found mostly debatges about it i remember ajusting it before .

You pretty much just set the virtual memory to 0mb. You know hoe to do that?
