i have a question about the data execution prevention popup

Hello all again lol , I did a fresh reformat of winxp last night everything went fine .This morning when i turned the pc on after i surfed here a while that
data execution prevention window poped up i said it was closing windows exploer because of a possible threat something to do with memory when i clicked close it crashed explorer has anyone heard of this is it possible that i need to reformat again i have never had this popup i adjsuted the security settings a little but not much securty level is medium high any htoughts apprecitated .
