Default Oneslowz28's weekly nature photos thread.

I am going to try and get out every week and take some shots of the world around us. This will be the thread I post them in. Thanks for looking.

To start this off is another moth I found in almost the exact same place as the last one. This one was much smaller though. He was smaller than a dime.

Next up is a wasp nest that was residing above my shop door.

Now we move onto some bumble bees. These were hard to shoot because they kept mating / fighting / aerial dog fighting or something. They would hover in place for 1-3 seconds before doing the above mentioned for 15-30 seconds. I tried to get a shot of them together but it just was too hard. The very close one is a little soft but I thought it was still good enough to post here.

Thanks Rick. I need to purchase a decent macro lens. I have plenty of nice lenses but not a single macro lens worth its salt.

Have you considered one of the flash rings for macro photography too? They actually work really well..

Nice work although I wouldn't have been brave enough to get that close to the wasp, that looks mean
I'm into photography myself and as you say flying things are difficult and often a matter of luck if you can catch them still for a few seconds, I've been trying to get a decent shot of a pair of buzzards and a hawk that are near where I live but they see me coming a mile away and their gone, look forward to seeing some more of your photos.
