Oxymorons that people accept as ok...

Coming up for a title for this one was tough.

So list some of the oxymoron's you see every day and people are perfectly fine with them and do not consider them oxymoron's. I only have one right now but I am sure you guys have more.

Luxury Apartments - I never got this one. Maybe its because I always lived in a house. Well except for college. I just can not see any apartment outside of a 2000sqft penthouse in NYC to be luxury. The one I lived in in college was only 1100 sqft and thats tiny. They have some here in the 800 sqft range that are considered luxury and cost $900 a month. The "normal" apartments in the 800sqft range run about $500 a month and have the same amenities.

It's NOT a Vacation if the words Bible and School are involved.


BTW: My house is only 1200 square feet. The biggest apartment I lived in was almost 2000 square feet. But I agree, Luxury and Apartments do not belong in the same sentence. Condo is just another word for apartment, but who wants to buy and apartment?

this one is more of a phrase rather than 2 words. I see it on tv and around several of the apartment communities.

"Save money by renting from us"

Renting something is never saving money. It makes about as much sense as leasing a vehicle. I know there are circumstances that force some people to rent or lease but I still see it as a waist of money.

When things go on sale and the store says you'll "save" money. Such as "Save 30% on this item," etc. The only way to really save money is to not spend it.

Also when people refer to the computer players in games as AIs. They're not really all that intelligent, just programmed to act in certain ways.
