    Default Just installing Service Packs

If I have a PC with XP (no services packs), how do I use my XP disk (w/SP2) to just install the SP's?

Yeah.. downloading the offline installers is easiest. Then just burn them to disks, and you are done and can use them over and over on other machines.

im sure you just run the installer and update/upgrade the OS, it shouldn't ask for a key if its the same version/build

other than that just download the SP3 offline installer, much easier

I booted off my Xp disk with SP2 and told it to repair Windows. It then installed SP1 and SP2

    yea, same thing really,

I used to use win98 cd to boot and install, then my win98SE disc to install ontop of 98 because it was an upgrade disc only!
