Default EVGA nforce 680i sli not working

Ok guys I just got this board this morning after a whole month of waiting for it. I plugged all but a hdd or dvd drive just bare minimum and turn it on and get one long beep and nothing. the led coding on front says c1 manual says

    Init memory controller, Overvoltage handling

    any idea what this means.

I tried some giel 800mhz 2gb ram ddr2 i also tried to swopped the graphics card and even cleared cmos. £120 this board cost me please dont tell me its screwed

pull the cmos battery, clear cmos, and walk leave it for 10-15 minutes. try a different stick of ram, and reboot. I think its the same problem i had with my old 780i board, in which i needed to rma my one stick of ram. One long beep, and ...nothing.

give it a shot at least. Try different ram in each slot everytime. i doubt its the video card. Most often its a ram problem (at least i've found from experience)
