    Default xp keeps freezing

    my computer will not stay on for more than 2 mins before it freezes

    Have you tried running any diags yet?

    Memtest
    cpuprime, etc?

    He's running in splashtop right now, and it's working fine. Makes me think driver/software issue.

    I had an issue where linux would work fine, and windows would crash. Turned out to be memory.

    Look for the Ultimate Boot CD and download that, burn it to a cd and then boot from it. Try out the mainboard tests and let it run at least one pass of memory.

    Like Luke said though, verify your drivers. Did you install anything just before this happened? Software or hardware?
