    Default Non Aluminum cases

    Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations on a non Aluminum case. The reason i need non Aluminum is because i can't get an Aluminum case painted by Directron. I like their CM7 Red and Black Marble paint on my case but found out they only do it on steel cases. The case i want needs to be a full tower with fans of 120mm. Also, no front door covering the front bays. I'm looking around but any help is appreciated.

They use Aliuminium cos' it is lighter than steel. All I can think of is an Acrylic case. Or you might want to try an IBM server case...

maybe its got to do with theier type of paint or perhaps the oven might warp/melt alu instead of baking the paint

Aluminuim has no magnetic properties, that might have something to do with it...

The metal only needs to conduct electricity to be powdercoated, i don't know if aluminium conducts or not, but i'm pretty sure it does. It might be a different kind of painting, one i havn't heard of. I was just pondering out loud after all.

Aluminum is powder coated very easily, and is a good conductor. Aluminum, is however, harder to paint because you have to etch it so the paint will bite.
