I am embarking on my first case Mod. Below is a drawing of my proposed case.
I have acquired a 128x64 Graphic LCD and I am currently experimenting with it using LCDHype
After several hours of wire stripping, soldering, desoldering, more stripping, more soldering and Vodka and Cranberry cocktails, I managed to wire up this bad boy and fire it up! (literally, it's a good idea to take heed to manufacturer specs as to recommended current. My power supply apparently pumps out some serious amps. I stupidly connected all power lines to LCD without limiting resistors. It heated up real fast and distorted the screen, but after a couple of minutes of cooling down all is well. USE RESISTORS when connecting to power supply!)
Oh, the beauty!
mmmm
Next on the agenda: Paint case, create mount and bezel for LCD. Oh and clean up wiring.
I just ordered a new digital camera (it's about flipping time) can't wait till it gets here so I can take some pictures that will do this project justice
