The other day I decided to look in my school's recycling pile, to see if they had anything worth taking. I was hoping for an Imac g4, in case I could figure out how to convert the screen to a dvi input, but I found this instead:
Yes, that is Leopard Server. My friend has an unlimited edition he got for free from the tech guy at our school, and he lent it to me. The specs are:
1.25 Ghz PPC G4 - I could actually upgrade this to a 1.8 Ghz Dual
1.5 Gb ram, (512 added by me)
80 Gb HDD
Geforce2 Mx- it is labeled as having a Raedon 9000, but it was downgraded as it was used as a server before they got rid of it.
My current plans for it include replacing the fan, which makes a pretty obnoxious noise, and installing the iPhone SDK, because there are workarounds to use it on a PPC mac.
