    I will find out what kind it is, but in the meantime. Will this effect my temps or flow negatively?

    There's no real reason it should, just looks shabby. If the temps stay fine, and you don't mind looking at it, then there's no reason to change.

    as said it's strictly a aesthetic thing. you could get a pipe cleaner to clean most of it out but it will come back and you won't get it back to clear. i never could anyhow.
