Why can't they just call it "Apple Tablet"? That sounds so much better! Dare I say it even sounds... cool?

Maybe they'll create a MacBook version and pass this off as more of an iPod type product than anything else thus allowing them to create a real tablet without having to directly admit that they don't know how to listen to their fans.

Me and my buddy were making up names the night before and I jokingly through out ipad. I looked at it this way. The laptops are Notebooks and thus get Macbook. This thing is a Notepad but being more of a peripheral gets the 'i' prefix instead of the 'mac' prefix. Thus came the name ipad. I just though it was funny because it ipod with one letter changed. I was totally joking and we laughed about it. The next day I got a text at work saying it was the ipad and I thought he was kidding me...
