Those are still used by a lot of people for Secure uploads for things like credit card authorizations.

Hotels use them a lot, so do fastfood places.

Lol. Why? I've never seen anything like that still in use. A lot of places, if not most, just encrypt the data they're sending and shoot it out through a DSL or other internet connection.

U.S. Robotics has been building the world’s best modems for over 25 years, and now we're bringing you the latest in modem technology. V.92 lets you send e-mail and attachments faster, get online quicker, and even take incoming phone calls without losing your Internet connection. Getting a better connection is as easy as the three-step installation procedure.
That thing looks like it IS the model they were making 25 years ago.
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

Because those programs need those specific pieces of hardware to run. You could stick some sort of bad ass lighting modem on there, but you'll need to code the program to accept that new hardware and make it work with the rest of the crap. A might task.

But don't ask me, i dont handle the software end of things, You call me when your crap needs installation, break down repair or maintenance.

slap in some IBM Netfinity 5000 Root servers?

Ask me why we've got a pallet of SIMM ram lol.

I'll have to take pictures of our warehouse one day, you guys would s@#t a brick at the sheer amount of computers.

6-8' tall wood pallets each with 50+ computers, printers, LCD monitors, Servers network junk. Big old fridge sized boxes full of cables of any possible kind you could EVER think of.

haha im like a kid in a candy store.

I made a IBM Raven (Dual 1.2Ghz Pentium III processors w/ 3072MB RIMM 600) slapped ScSI Narrow cards in there and filled it up with 12 80GB drives.

lol i needed to jumper another IBM power supply to run all the ****. I've used so much power, if i try and install a PCI add-on card (i wanted another PCI video card) the computer won't boot....thats what im talking 'bout!!11

hahah i've got 1 AGP and 2 PCI 3dFX voodoo Banshee 32MB cards in there.

Man my bosses get pissed anytime they see that thing ("Chris thats like 3,500$ in inventory in that computer there.....")

    hahaha...good times, good times

Mary had a little lamb. It bumped into a pylon. Ten thousand volts went up its arse and turned its wool to nylon!
