    Started working today. Polishing up the drive bays.

    I am having problems getting it any shinier than this. It seems the metal is pretty pitted any suggestions on getting it closer to mirror finish? 800grit or lower then do this again?

    What are you using to polish them now? Assuming they started out normally smooth, I would start with ~800-1000 grit, work my way up to 2000-3000 grit, then use metal polish and a buffing wheel on my dremel.

    I just used mother's aluminum polish first. But I think i got some high grit sandpaper I can try.

    star with 800 then go 1000 1500 2000 2500 3000 rubbing compound and then polishing compound and youll have some drive bays thatll hurt to look at lol

    Tax Clause arrived at my house today!

    Athlon II X3 2.7Ghz
    Asus M4A77TD
    Sapphire Radeon HD5670
    Hatachi 500gb 7200rpm HDD
    OCZ ModXstream-Pro 600W
    4GB OCZ 1333 Platinum Ram
    Samsung DVD/CD Burner

    This is the air cooled system for now I plan to upgrade ram and processor before going to watercooled with the project I needed a new computer now though since my laptop died.
