    Default Side window (desktop PC)

Is there anyway to make a custom side window? Not a lot of that extra work or paints, Just a normal plexi-glass side window, And any suggestions on how to do it and cut it? I'm not really handy but i'm good with advices.

All i want is a visible side window and if possible some light tips..

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

a powered jigsaw worked the best for me (cutting metal), but i had to go to lowes to get a certain blade for it. im pretty sure intead of having less teeth on a blade, you want a lot of teeth. keep the saw on a high speed setting.

if its a simple square window, just take a drill to drill out the four corners, and then you can use those holes to cut each side of the square.

for a window, i ordered 1/16 acrylic plexiglass from usplastic.com, got to me in 2 days.

for applying the window, scotch double sided tape works wonders. but if space is really tight, and cant fit a extra 1/8 of an inch (the thinkness of the dblsided tape) liquid nails works good too.

    hope that helps!

for lighting, i've always used the logisys 12' cathode neon lights.

Or you could use an angle grinder or dremel to cut the hole (providing you have those tools)

For plexi just get what you can get, thickness does not really matter, as long as it is not over 6mm or thick (6mm is aprox. 1/4in)

Other advise: look at some worklogs on the forum, some people show very well how they did their chop-up.

You can either paste the window in it's place using glue or double-sided tape, or you can bolt it into place with some screws/bolts and nuts.

    hope it helps

    edit:
When you cut your hole mask off the line you are going to cut with some tape, this prevents big chips from forming and also prevents damage that might be caused by the tools.

I've heard of some people using that window trim and putting EL wire inside of the trim, That sounds so badass. Lights up the window magnificently I'm sure.
