So, as much as I hate music labels, I find myself actually siding with them on this.
Amazon apparently recently started working out deals with music labels, where they get access to certain songs the day before street date, and they would have special deals on that day. Well, when Apple found out about this, instead of trying to compete with them, they decided to tell the labels that if they kept letting Amazon do that, then they would take their ball and go home. Unfortunately, several labels have already pulled back online release not only the day before street date, but the day of as well.
To be fair, I'm pretty removed from the problem since most of the music I like is over a hundred years old or made in Norway... But it still irks me to see Apple being such a dick. Sure, innovation and competition is fine...as long as it's for our gain.
