Well, the latest program reads: 47 and 42c (core 0 and 1 respectively).

I'll see what I can do for pics of the internals.

yep, and its normal for GPUs to run that hot. my 3870x2 @ idle, looking @ it right now, core 0 is 62ºC and core 1 is 50ºC. (core 0 is farthest from the fan, gets hot air from core 1 blown over it)

they get around 80~ish C for core 0 and 75~ish C for core 1 under load (playing MW2, 1280x1024, max settings)

Oh...well then I guess I shouldn't freak out so much about the GPU being 77c.

    Thanks.

Speaking of other things though: I just got the 2 new fans from the UPS guy, time to slap em in and see if we get any difference.

I would also suggest two other free programs for temp monitoring: OCCT and Furmark. Both excellent. If you're still not happy with the GPU temps, this cooler is one of the best around as far as dollar to performance ratio, and it's passive. I used one on my 8800GT and was very happy with it. It's kind of big, so measure your space if you're thinking about it. Just a thought.

I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible, and when I leave you will finally understand why storms are named after people.”

I have an apevia x-discovery for the case, it's pretty tight already, not sure if I could fit something that big.

yea, the zalman looks bug, but it should fit no problem, it"ll cover the the PCI below it, but nothing else.

I honestly don't plan on putting anything else in the slots below anyway. I'll eventually upgrade the system to better guts, but that's in the future.
