Wish I could help you out bud, My HD 5750 installed perfectly first time. Any details on the error? Did it give you an error code? Or did it just crash without warning?

the installer doesn't pop up when i click install

Try redownloading the file. I've experienced that with other software and it was just because the file was 99.5% downloaded and that last .5% broke the .exe file. I just downed a new copy from the same source and it worked. If that doesn't work, try running it as admin or reboot into safemode and try it again.

If it's a new card, why not try the disk that came with it? Assuming that works, then go for the updated download.

Also, try a reboot, or try right clicking the installer program and choosing "Run as Administrator"
