Default Planning stages for a new mod: Diamond PC

I think the pictures speak for themselves. Any questions, ask. I will be using this to plan my next project while I finish my Book and Moe's.

I've decided to make this ruby colored. I also hope to build a stand for it similar to a ring setting

If you had a big enough girdle, you can route cables through there.

Hmm, interesting idea. Where'd this pc concept come from?

I've always wanted to take some design tips from cut gems and incorporate them into a pc design. Take the HTC Diamond for example. It's a pretty attractive look. I think I'd probably take the crown and mirror it with a bit of space inbetween. I think that would look pretty cool and it'd be nice and low profile.

Perhaps do clear plexi and then frost it? Then you could light it up from the inside. That'd look pretty cool.
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

    Interesting ideas

my inspiration for this came from messing around in sketchup. I started with a pyramid And it turned into this. I was like "hey! That looks like a diamond/other gem!"

I guess, depending on what space will be taken up by components and cable, you could try and setup a few small mirror pieces to try and setup the stereotypical "brilliance" you get out of cut stones like that.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Any idea what cut you want to go for?
